Shoot for the Stars, literally aiming for the stars.
The curtain rises at the Ristori theater, the renewed stage for the presentation of Rana Verona for the 24/25 season, which for the second consecutive year proudly bears the name of Pastificio Giovanni Rana, title sponsor of Verona Volley, on its chest.
An audience transformed into the “Stargate” base for the occasion, creating a space-themed atmosphere for the upcoming season. The event was hosted by Rachele Sangiuliano, a former volleyball player who is now a prominent voice and face of television volleyball.
The evening was filled with surprises and special effects, allowing fans and partners to meet the 14 athletes and the coaching staff who will be competing throughout the season. Attendees also had the opportunity to see the team’s new jerseys, which the Verona Volley has worked on this year. The jerseys include two designs dedicated to the Adige River and a special edition in total black, dedicated to the Verona Arena, all in line with the ongoing theme “The City on the Skin” initiated in 2021.
This year the Adige and the Arena are the protagonists of the Club’s story: the river that cuts through the city and which thanks to the intuition of the mayor Giulio Camuzzoni has represented the industrial engines of Verona becoming one of its most precious elements (gold), and the Amphitheater, today the largest open-air stage in the world, which becomes the symbol par excellence of elegance and culture.
First jersey: ADIGE, navy blue, and gold base.
The jersey bears the distinctive feature of the lily of the Scaliger arches. The symbol is proposed in a shaded texture that highlights its physiognomy. The element of the ladder is extrapolated and placed centrally under the neck.
The blue color recalls the color of the Adige, represented by a vertical gold stripe on the left side of the shirt and repeated on the same side of the pants. The river is the lifeblood of the city, as it has played a significant role in the city’s development and prosperity.
The second shirt, IMPETO, has a white base with gold arms and texture, and navy blue writing.
The shirt’s design features a scale pattern forming the V of Verona, representing the force of the Adige River, with white and gold colors inspired by the river’s ripple. The Scaliger ark, a symbol of the city, is placed under the neck as a precious team amulet.
The third shirt, OPERA, is a special edition in total black with gold finishes and a tone-on-tone texture.
For the first time in history, Verona Volley has decided to produce a third special edition jersey that has the black color as its base, a reference to the elegance and outfits typically worn in the first performances at the opera festival of the Verona Arena, the most famous open-air theater in the world. The Vs repeated on the bust with the insert of two blue tracks, a resumption of the Adige, were taken as inspiration from the contest.
The jersey is also embellished with gold details and inserts. The three jerseys presented on stage were worn by a representation of the U19/U17/U15 youth sector and will be auctioned to support a charity project, and also on stage all those who participated in the contest opened last season for the design of the jersey were called and awarded.
After the presentation of the three 2024/2025 Kits, the evening continued its run with the arrival of the SuperLega giants who, through a Stargate of light, made their entrance onto the stage running on a catwalk that cut through the audience, called by the unmistakable voice of the official speaker of the Club Giordano Sampietri.
On the stage, then, Mozic and his teammates found the children of Minivolley who, as in an ideal passage between present and future, gave the individual players the official jersey. A back-to-the-future that continued thanks to Rachele Sangiuliano who had the children interview the players and Coach Radostin Stoytchev.
An evening full of emotions, therefore, which also saw significant participation of the public and stakeholders of the City, to represent how much the Club cares about its closeness to the territory, as President Stefano Fanini recalled several times throughout the evening: “In these first three years of life Verona Volley has not only represented the City in Italy and Europe with the tours organized in the different seasons but also from an industrial point of view, proposing itself as a business driver of a network of relationships extended at an economic level and of indisputable sporting and social values”.
A community that on the one hand represented the third largest sports hall in Italy in terms of attendance last season, and on the other an increasingly large network of companies that are benefiting from this growth protagonists.
Verona Volley is a journey through time, an ambitious story of passion and encounters that aim ever higher to be even more protagonists of the most beautiful championship in the world, the SuperLega.
