Rana Verona has written a new chapter in its history by winning the first Del Monte Coppa Italia trophy in the club’s history.
The team delivered an outstanding performance in Bologna, defeating Itas Trentino 3–0 in the final and confirming its place among the leading forces in Italian volleyball. The victory followed an impressive semifinal win against Perugia, completing a remarkable Final Four campaign.
Led by Coach Soli, Rana Verona showed discipline, intensity, and maturity throughout the tournament. The team started the final strongly and maintained control in the decisive moments of each set, closing the match with scores of 21–25, 22–25, and 20–25.
Micah Christenson was named MVP of the Final Four after two exceptional performances. The final also highlighted the strength of the entire squad, with important contributions across attack, block, serve, and defense.
The match statistics confirmed Verona’s high-level performance, with Rana Verona recording 57% in attack and showing strong efficiency in the key phases of the game. In front of a sold-out crowd of 9,130 spectators, the team secured one of the most important achievements in the club’s history.
