NATIONALS, VNL: MOZIC MVP WITH SLOVENIA, 12 POINTS FOR GROZDANOV

The second day of Week 2 has also ended for the boys from Rana Verona engaged in VNL. Both Rok Mozic, with Slovenia, and Aleks Grozdanov, protagonist with Bulgaria, took to the field in Orleans.

SLOVENIA

In the second round of Week 2 of VNL, Slovenia prevailed over Canada with a clear 3-0, thus bringing it to 15 points in the general classification. There were 19 personal points for Mozic, of which 1 from a block and 2 from nine meters. His excellent performance earned him the MVP award, a recognition he had already received in the first week against Serbia. The next match for the Slovenian national team will be tonight at 20.30 against Cuba.

BULGARIA

Against the same opponent, Bulgaria was unable to obtain a positive result, losing 3 to 1. Konstantinov’s team was ahead in the score at the end of the first set and Canada’s comeback, thus remaining firm at 5 ranking points. Despite the knockout, Aleks Grozdanov showed off a capital performance. Of the 12 overall points, the Scaliger centre-back scored 5 against blocks. The Bulgarian team will try to redeem themselves tomorrow in the match against Argentina.
