Sani celebrates Italy’s victory in the friendly match against Turkey.
Italy’s season begins on the right foot thanks to the victories obtained in the two test matches staged in Cavalese, the only preparatory commitments for the first phase of the 2024 Volleyball Nations League.
Having overcome Serbia at the tie-break in the opening match of this triangular friendly, Coach De Giorgi’s national team paired up against Turkey, a match where Francesco Sani made his debut in the blue shirt, taking over from Sbertoli during the fourth set.
Now, the Italian team will carry out the last days of training in Val di Fiemme before leaving for Rio de Janeiro, with the VNL starting on May 22nd with the challenge against Germany.
