YOUTH SECTOR: U19 IN FLUENCY, THRILLING FOR THE U15

The Gialloblù Youth Sector was the protagonist of another long weekend of matches.

Here are the results for all categories:
SERIES C – GROUP A: CUS PADUA – VERONA VOLLEYBALL 3-0 (25-20; 25-14; 25-17)
Away from the friendly walls, coach Marconi’s boys were unable to confirm the progress seen in the previous round, running into a subdued performance. Entering the field with little aggressiveness, the Verona team collapsed at the first difficulties, especially in the receiving phase. The opponents put the Gialloblù receivers under pressure, building at the beginning of each set the conditions to play with great tranquillity. The reaction in the first set, which brought Massafeli and his teammates closer to the Paduans, was thwarted by too many service errors and not exactly perfect defenses. Now the goal is to roll up your sleeves and work hard to achieve salvation.

SERIES D – GROUP B: VERONA VOLLEYBALL – LA PIAVE VOLLEYBALL 0-3 (14-25; 20-25; 15-25)
Another bad day for the Verona team, which hasn’t managed to move the standings even this weekend. The team led by coach Marchesan ran into another misstep between the friendly walls against La Pieve Volley, capable of bringing home the full result with a clear 3 to 0. If in the intermediate set there were some interesting plots, in the first and in the last one, the Gialloblù were unable to counter the well-orchestrated play of the guests, vying for the first positions in the group.

U19 INTERTERRITORIAL – GROUP A: VERONA VOLLEYBALL – DUAL VOLLEYBALL 3-0 (25-20; 25-13; 25-15)
With the forced absence of Padovani and Fontanabona, the U19 selection changed its structure, with Artoni in the opposite role and Massafeli relieved of the task of receiving. After an adaptation phase due to the new tactical disposition, the team led by coach Pigozzi found the right measures, breaking away from their opponents in the first set finale. In the following two partials, the dictates were well forfeited and the race went downhill. Massafeli recorded excellent percentages in attack, while errors in reception were reduced to a minimum. The unprecedented tactical solution needs to be refined, but it has given good answers and Verona has maintained its lead in the group.

U15 INTERTERRITORIAL – GROUP A: VOLLEYBALL LEGNAGO – VERONA VOLLEYBALL 2-3 (11-25; 21-25; 25-21; 25-20; 12-15)
Very exciting and compelling match played by our U15 boys in the Legnago field. Ours started with maximum concentration and immediately focused on bringing home the 3 points without conceding anything to their opponents, in fact they win the first 2 sets with many merits and few demerits from the Legnago team. Attention and physical drop from the 3rd set which allowed Legnago to best express his game and thus bring the match to 2-2. In the 5th set the team regained confidence in their abilities, playing with intelligence and thus closing the match on 3-2. Important victory that demonstrates how much the group is growing both in terms of play and team strength.

U14 INTERTERRITORIAL – GROUP A: 4STARS ALTAIR – VERONA VOLLEYBALL 1-3 (12-25; 16-25; 25-22; 16-25)
First victory of the season for the U14 team, protagonist of a fierce challenge against Altair Vicenza. Game closed for 1-3 (12-25; 16-25; 25-22; 16-25). Our boys, under the guidance of the Amadio-Pallaro couple led the challenge by administering the advantage in the first 2 sets. A little turnover and a newfound grit in the opposing team leads us to play an unexpected fourth set. Fourth set that sees our boys find order and continuity on the pitch; factors that help us get our first victory of the season in the league. To underline the debut in the category for Rossetto and the good game directed by Bullo.

U13 6×6 INTERTERRITORIAL – GROUP A: WE BEAT CORNEDO – VERONA VOLLEYBALL 0-3 (7-25; 5-25; 3-25)
One way match for the Under 13 6 x6 boys, who left no chance for a reply to We Beat Cornedo. The match saw a clear supremacy by the team led by coach Pallaro, who thus slipped the second victory in two games played. To underline the long series in the service of Del Bello (14 consecutive hits) and the incisive ability always from nine meters of Ficara-Zuppani (7 aces). The classification now sees the Gialloblù in the lead on an equal footing with Avolley.

U12 MIXED 3X3 – GROUP F: ARENA VOLLEY BLUE – VERONA VOLLEY YOUNG 0-3 (1-15; 3-15; 5-15)
The Under 12 3×3 team could not have imagined a better start, baptizing their first league game with a win. Despite some initial concerns, the Verona team was able to play smoothly, gaining three well-deserved points. Coach Perrin’s boys showed confidence and continuity of service, limiting the opponent’s play. Now we are in front of two and weeks of training to better face the next commitment.
