U19 INTERIOTORIAL – GROUP A: PLUVITEC VOLLEY LEGNAGO – VERONA VOLLEY 1-3 (25-21; 23-25; 22-25; 16-25)
A painful victory for the boys from Verona arrives on the difficult field of Legnago, who have found a very fierce opponent, capable of winning the first partial. The hosts worked well in defense and on service, taking advantage of a few too many smears committed by the yellow and blue team. The reaction was immediate, also thanks to the displacement of Fontanabona in the unprecedented role of opposite. In the next three sets, coach Marconi’s sextet increased attacking effectiveness and lowered his error rate in the various fundamentals, winning three vitally important points. The star of the Massafeli challenge, author of 24 points, followed by Valbusa, capable of putting 13 balls on the ground.
On Wednesday the U19 selection will recover the first day of the category competition, on Friday it will face the fourth, while on Saturday it will be the turn of the first outing of the Serie C championship.
U17 INTERIOTORIAL – GROUP A: PALAZZOLO VOLLEY – VERONA VOLLEY (11-25; 11-25; 12-25)
At the Palazzetto Comunale in Palazzolo di Sona, Menazza and his teammates scored their third victory of the season, showing a game based on good services and quick attacks in the center. The progress of the match was fairly regular, with the boys from Verona who managed to dig an important groove in the initial stages of the three sets they won. Coach Marchesan has given space to all his athletes to test the state of form and to try out new game solutions. “I am very happy with the approach and how the lads have faced this match. We set ourselves a goal in the locker room and we managed to reach it with good results, knowing that our game can and still has to improve a lot.” These are the words of the Gialloblù coach at the end of the match. Over the next weekend the group will face the first round of Serie D and the fourth day of the category championship.
Furthermore, last week the U17 beat Dual Caselle with a score of 3-0 in the recovery of the first day of the Interterritorial tournament.
