Over the past weekend the season officially kicked off for our Under 19 and Under 17 selections. For both teams the start was more than convincing, with two clear wins in their respective matches.
U19: VERONA VOLLEY – WE BEAT CORNEDO 3-0 (25-12; 25-11; 25-11)
Coach Marconi’s boys, assisted by coach Pigozzi, showed great determination and excellent understanding right from the start of the match. The technical gap between the two teams was evident, but the Gialloblù team managed to maintain concentration, overcoming their opponents in just three sets. To be noted the performance of Murilo Massafeli, already aggregated to the first team during the summer retreat, author of 16 points. Next appointment set for Sunday on the Legnago field, on the occasion of the third day of the season. The first round, on the other hand, has been postponed to 19 October.
U17: VERONA VOLLEY – FUTURVOLLEY 3-0 (25-7; 25-7; 25-5)
At the “Zorzi” gym in Parona, the team led by coach Marchesan showed all their strength, starting their tournament in the best possible way. Excellent performance by the whole group, which has put to good use the work it is doing during the week, deservedly conquering the full booty. Among the ranks of Verona, the best scorer was Modnicki, who landed 10 points. Tonight, the boys from Verona will make up for the first day, while on Sunday they will be busy in the home of Palazzolo.
