On 17 and 18 September WithU Verona will be involved in the Bogdanka Volley Cup, a prestigious international preparatory competition for the 2022/2023 championship of the SuperLega Credem Banca. The tournament, dedicated to the Polish volleyball star and current sports commentator Tomasz Wójtowicz, will take place at the Hala Globus in Lublin, Poland.
Together with the team of coach Radostin Stoytchev, three other clubs will participate in the competition. We are talking about Barkom-Kazaany Lviv, winner of three national titles in Ukraine and capable of lifting their country’s Cup and Super Cup four and three times respectively. The third participant is the Berlin Recycling Volleys, a team that boasts a very respectable palmares. On twelve occasions he triumphed in the German top division, also winning five Cups and three national Super Cups at home. In the international arena, the Germans have raised a CEV Cup, while in recent years they have collected important results in the Champions League.
Finally, it will be up to LUK Lublin, a team that plays in the Polish PlusLiga, to do the honors at home. “We are very happy to take part in this event which sees the participation of famous and certainly very strong teams” declares sporting director Gian Andrea Marchesi “It will be a good test for the team in view of the Montichiari tournament, the last stage before the ‘start of the regular season “.
