VERONA VOLLEY PRESENTS THE PREVIEW OF THE OPERA JERSEY AT THE ARENA

A night to remember for Verona Volley, which unveiled in the loggia of the “Palazzo della Gran Guardia” the preview of Opera. This is the third special edition jersey that the first team will wear during the 2024/2025 SuperLega season. The jersey will then be officially presented with the other two during the event on September 26. Wearing a unique version of the uniform was Captain Rok Mozic, who was chosen as a Gongo player during the last performance of the Aida season in the 1913 edition.

In collaboration with the technical sponsor Macron, for the first time in its history, Verona Volley has created the Opera jersey, a special edition dedicated to the Arena, a symbol of this city, and available starting next December on the official circuits of the Club. A highly representative uniform and also designed concerning the collaborations that the company has started with the cultural systems of the city. Opera recalls an evening dress for the elegant elements it is composed of, in the wake of the narrative of the city on the skin, which Verona Volley has been telling for some time. “First of all, I would like to thank the Verona Arena for having hosted us in one of the most iconic places in our city for an important moment like this – says Stefano Fanini, President of Verona Volley – As a Club, we work every day to keep the name of Verona high and for us it is an honor to be able to reveal the preview of the Opera shirt, which we are particularly proud of because it recalls details and elements peculiar to the city. We are grateful for the opportunity to entrust our captain Rok Mozic, an example for our club, with the role of Gongo player for the last performance of the season of an opera that is a symbol of the Arena Festival. This is a special evening where we combine sport and culture within a unique context”. The one that Captain Rok Mozic wore as a Gongo player is a unique piece of the Opera shirt. The other two copies were created for a fundraiser, which the Club will then donate to a social project. Being the first sports jersey dedicated to the Opera, one was donated to Fondazione Arena di Verona. The vice artistic director Stefano Trespidi collected it after meeting the captain and the sports club.
