Sapozhkov began his career in the Lokomotiv Novosibirsk ranks, joining the first team in 2018. The following season he plays in the club’s B team, where he begins to prove his worth. This allows him to leave Russia to embark on an adventure in the Bulgarian championship with the SKV Montana jersey. After just a year he returns home to marry at Yugra-Samotlor Nizhnevartovsk.
