One of the main players in the 2022/2023 vintage was certainly Rok Mozic, who confirmed himself on the levels already demonstrated in his first experience in SuperLega Credem Banca. The spiker born in 2002 presented himself at the starting line with the title of best scorer for 2021/2022, then making great strides in all the fundamentals, especially in reception.
In attack, the number 19 from Verona was able to adopt diversified solutions, also thanks to the alternation in the distribution phase by the setters. In this way he was decisive both from the front and from the second row, from which he often put the opposing rearguards in difficulty. The Slovenian was the offensive player to have collected the most appearances, taking the field in all 32 matches faced between the Regular Season, Quarterfinals Play Offs, Play Offs 5th Place and Del Monte Coppa Italia for a total of 124 sets played. Mozic converted 459 balls into a point (12th best scorer of the entire season in all competitions), of which 161 break points, for 49.9% positivity, also collecting 52 winning blocks. From nine meters, however, Mozic found 24 aces.
Maribor’s hammer collected the most important haul, equal to 27 points, on the occasion of the home match against Itas Trentino won 3 to 2. In the away matches in Cisterna and Padua, he then scored 4 aces. The good performances offered also earned him the MVP award three times, received against Milan, in the first leg, and Monza and Cisterna in the second round.
