The journey towards the 2023/2024 SuperLega Credem Banca season continues for Rana Verona, with the first official appointment scheduled for the weekend of 21/22 October. Preparation in the arena continues apace for Coach Stoytchev’s team, which is awaited by a busy program of pre-season commitments. We start on October 5th with the home test against Cuneo Volley, a team that plays in Serie A2. Spirito and his teammates will then take the field in the Jesi Volley Cup, which will take place in the Marche municipality on 14 and 15 October, where Club Olympiakos Piraeus, Greek champion, Cucine Lube Civitanova and Allianz Milano will also be protagonists. The pairings of the two semi-finals will be announced on October 2nd at the presentation press conference. Then, on October 18th, Itas Trentino will arrive at the Pala AGSM AIM for the last match of the preseason.
“The team started working on the building – says Adi Lami, team manager of Rana Verona – after the pre-retreat in Bulgaria, which is always a fundamental step for us to start again in the best possible way after the summer break period. In Varna the activity went very well and the activity in the gym and on the pitch in Verona is continuing in the same direction. Obviously we are not yet at full capacity given the European commitments with the national teams of some of our players, who have made an excellent journey, in particular Mosca and Mozic, who reached the final phase of the tournament. The workloads are intense, but necessary to put fuel in the athletes’ legs. In fact, we can count on a good part of the group, including many of the new additions, who are learning to know our environment and the way of working we have here. We will soon face a series of important pre-season matches. On October 5th we will host Cuneo, while on October 14th and 15th we will participate in the Jesi Volley Cup together with prestigious opponents such as Civitanova, Milan and Olympiakos, Champion of Greece. In the Marche we will play two matches in one weekend, so two interesting tests promise. Finally, a few days after the championship debut, on 18 October there will be the match against Trento, the Adige derby, another high-level event”.
