In the inaugural outing at the Palace of Culture and Sports, coach Konstantinov’s team failed to snatch any points, falling 3-1 to Spain. Despite the negative result, Aleks Grozdanov was the protagonist of a good personal performance, topped off with 9 points overall, also hitting an ace. Furthermore, the three places from Verona was the player to have scored the most blocks in the Bulgarian formation (3). Second engagement tonight, with Finland as opponent.
