NATIONALS, VNL: SLOVENIA BEATS ARGENTINA, BULGARIA KNOCKS OUT WITH BRAZIL

Week 2 of the Volleyball Nations League 2023 kicked off yesterday with the first matches on the fields of Rotterdam, in the Netherlands, and Orléans, in France. Rok Mozic, who beat Argentina with Slovenia, and Aleks Grozdanov, defeated by Brazil against Bulgaria, are also protagonists.

SLOVENIA VNL Week 2 kicked off with a victory for Rok Mozic’s Slovenia, who beat Argentina 3-1 in yesterday afternoon’s match in Orléans, France. The Slovenian team managed to recover the initial disadvantage against a very treacherous battleship. Mozic once again proved that he is among the top scorers, posting a total of 16 points. With the first match of the second week of the Nations League, Slovenia continues to score points and convince, thus confirming itself among the most constant national teams. Another appointment tomorrow: the opponent will be Cuba.

BULGARIA

The Bulgarian selection showed up for the first round of this second phase of the tournament with 5 points collected and aware of facing one of the most difficult opponents: Brazil. Coach Plamen Konstantinov’s boys tried to impose their game in the first set, but the green-and-gold then took the measures and closed the match with the result 3 – 0. Aleks Grozdanov hit Orléans’ taraflex, going on the scoresheet in three occasions, all in attacking situations from place three. Bulgaria, therefore, will try to move up the standings in the match against Canada scheduled for tomorrow.
