NATIONALS: MOZIC SCORES 17 TIMES, ITALY WINS WITH BRAZIL

The third stage of the fifth edition of the Volleyball Nations League has opened in these days, with the cities of Pasay City (Philippines) and Anaheim (USA) as the backdrop. In the inaugural engagement of Week 3, Italy from Moscow, victorious against Brazil, and Slovenia, from Mozic, who fell to Poland in the tie-break, have already taken the field.

ITALY

Great start for coach De Giorgi’s Italy in Week 3 of VNL: the Azzurri beat the battleship of Brazil 3-1 in a comeback. Excellent performance for the national team that managed to establish itself after the initial disadvantage. Verona center back Leandro Mosca did not take part in the match. The next match of the Italian selection will be tomorrow, Thursday 06 July, at 9.00 am Italian time against Canada.

SLOVENIA

In the first outing of this Poule, Slovenia managed to snatch a point from tricky Poland, even if there are many regrets for not having closed the practice after reaching 0-2. Rok Mozic entered the match in progress in the first set, putting his signature on the last ball of the fraction. Deployed by Coach Cretu in the following sets, the hammer born in 2002 provided his contribution with a 17-point performance, also posting a block and an ace. The Slovenians will take the field again tomorrow against China.
