At the beginning of the new year, it’s already time to get back to work for WithU Verona, which in a few days will take the field again after the commitment of the quarter-finals of Del Monte Coppa Italia. The Pala AGSM AIM will be the setting for the first appointment of 2023 for coach Radostin Stoytchev’s team, which will be called to face the leaders Sir Safety Susa Perugia, still unbeaten since the beginning of the championship.
A year full of satisfactions and goals achieved ended for the Gialloblù last 29 December: from the salvation achieved at the end of last season, with the subsequent participation in the Playoff phase in 5th place, up to the extraordinary first round of SuperLega Credem Banca of the current year, which culminated with the arrival in fourth position and qualification for the national cup after a long time. Now the Scala troops are expected to have an important month of January, starting with Sunday’s match against the Umbrians.
Having enjoyed a few days of rest, useful for recharging the batteries after the intense rhythms held in the last period, captain Raphael and his teammates met this morning to start preparing for the next match. In the morning, the entire team – divided into two groups – met in the weight room, while in the afternoon they returned to the taraflex of the arena. Two double sessions are scheduled for tomorrow and Wednesday, both focused on on-field activity to refine the game mechanics and the understanding between the departments. The work will continue in the following days with a focus on technique, associated with a careful study of the opponent on Sunday. The week towards Perugia has begun.
