BACK TO WORK: TOWARDS GAME 2 OF THE QUARTER PLAY OFFS

Less than twenty-four hours have passed since the capital match that WithU Verona played in the debut of the Quarter Play Offs. In the history of Verona volleyball, only on one other occasion had the feat on the Civitanova field succeeded, dating back January 2006. Seventeen years later, Stoytchev’s boys broke their fast, showing off an extraordinary show of strength that allowed them to get the better of all three sets. A result that gives confidence to the group led by Raphael in view of the second engagement of the series, scheduled for the evening of March 22nd at 20.30 at the Pala AGSM AIM.

After returning during the night from the satisfactory away match in the Marches and the morning of rest granted to recover energy, the complete team met this afternoon at the arena for the usual unloading session. Tomorrow will already be the eve of the Scala, who will face an afternoon training session focused on technique on the pitch combined with the study phase of the opponent. Then, on Wednesday evening, Mozic and his teammates will take to the field again for Race 2 of this session.

“We are where we really wanted to be at this point in the season and we have shown it.” These are the words with which assistant coach Dario Simoni commented on the home victory of the cooks, aware however that we must immediately turn the page and think about the second act of the contest: “We must continue to work as we have done up to now, with our heads down and reasoning from match to match, without thinking about what we have done or what we could do.
