Amin Esmaeilnezhad joins Rana Verona for the 2023/2024 season. The Iranian opposite is currently engaged in VNL with his national team and is preparing to face his first experience in Italy.
Amin, welcome to Verona. What are your first impressions?
“I’m really happy and the feeling is very positive. I arrive in what is considered by all to be the best championship in the world and Rana Verona’s project convinced me from the first call I received. I quickly made the decision to come here and now a new stage in my career is starting for me”.
Why did you choose Rana Verona?
“I immediately understood that Verona would give me the confidence to make the leap in quality. I am in full development as a player and Coach Stoytchev and the whole club has made me understand that Verona is the right environment in which to improve. A few words were enough to convince me. Then the results obtained last year demonstrate the ambition of this team. There will be a lot of work to achieve all the objectives, but this is an extra incentive”.
You’ve gained a lot of experience in your country’s league but now you’re showing off with the national team in VNL. What is this tournament giving you?
“The VNL gives you the chance to face the strongest national teams in the world, so it represents an important test for the growth of an athlete. A few days ago, I also challenged Italy, who proved why they became World Champions last year. In a few months I will play against all these very strong players: I can’t wait to get started.”
What do you want to tell the fans?
“I can’t wait to meet them and feel their passion. They told me that it is one of the hottest Italian fans and this gives me a great boost. Come on Verona!”
